Founded in 1830, Mauviel has been the standard in professional French copper cookware for over 170 years. Copper heats more quickly and more evenly than any other type of cooking material. The Happy Cook gladly endorses and offers Mauviel’s two most popular lines of copper cookware: those lined with stainless steel, which have either a stay cool stainless steel handle or the more traditional cast iron handle. For over 30 years, All-Clad has manufactured high quality multi-ply cookware made in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The Happy Cook carries All-Clad’s Stainless, LTD, MC2 and Copper-Core lines of cookware. The majority of All-Clad’s lines are 3-ply, including Stainless, LTD and MC2 which have the conduction of aluminum, but the benefit of cooking with a stainless steel surface. Copper-Core is a 5-ply product that effectively cooks like copper without the maintenance of polishing a copper exterior. Each piece comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Staub’s enameled cast iron is used in restaurants all over the world for preparation and presentation. Constructed in France by a similar process to Le Creuset, Staub offers a unique palate of colors as well as unique shapes. Staub is particularly well known for their cast iron tea pots, mussel pots, individual serving pieces and colorful dutch ovens.

Viking Professional Cookware is manufactured in Beligum with an exclusive 7-ply construction. The design is a unique combination of stainless steel and aluminum alloys for lifetime performance and quick and even heat distribution. Viking offers a heavier product with a more ergonomic handle to that of All-Clad.

The Happy Cook offers hand forged knives from Wüsthof, world-renowned German knives made at the highest level of quality. Shun knives offer a uniquely sharp blade from Japan that is designed with a “D” shaped handle that fits perfectly into your hand and offers a lighter weight alternative. Global knives were the first Japanese knives to have a big impact on western markets. Chroma knives are made from very strong steel and hold their extremely sharp edges for a long time. Sabatier knives are french carbon steel knives that are very popular but rare in the U.S. Kikuichi is traditionally known for its Samurai swords, and it carries that standard of quality over to its cutlery.

Pillivuyt has been produced in France for almost two centuries and is used in 50% of resaurants in France. Pillivuyt produces beautiful pieces of porcelain that are incredibly durable and scratch resistant. The diamond hard surface is non-porous, impervious to stains and will not lose its luster even after dishwashing repeatedly with strong detergents. Pillivuyt can be used in the microwave, freezer and oven.

We also stock delectable gourmet foods. The Happy Cook offers a wide selection of Stonewall Kitchen’s jams, mustards, and grilling sauces. We also carry The Barefoot Contessa’s line of baking mixes made from recipes compiled in her many wounderful cookbooks.Robert Rothschild jams and dips. Cherith Valley carries several barbeque sauces. French Farm is a neat company we carry that imports french dips and mustards. We also carry chocolate covered and butter toasted Belmont Peanuts. Gullah Gourmet has some popular soups and dip mixes that are often seen on the Food Network Channel. We also offer a number of whole bean coffees and loose leaf teas from First Colony Coffee Roaster, The Republic of Tea, Trager Brothers Coffee, and The Happy Cook's exclusive, University-inspired coffees: Cavalier Blend, Jefferson Java, and Rotunda Roast.
