$50 per person (Demo) limited to 15 students.  Includes a glass of red or white wine.

Join Mitchell Beerens, co-owner of Lampo, Charlottesville's most acclaimed Neapolitan pizzeria, as he breaks down and demystifies the art of making pizza in a stone oven at home.  Enjoy a samples pizzas Chef Mitch prepares in a Gozney stone oven in our state of the art culinary arts center. 

Topics covered to include:

  • How to work with basic pizza dough, including recipe and tips.  
  • Building the perfect pizza.  Including discussion on picking different sauces, cheeses and topping recommendations.
  • Preheating and prepping stone oven.
  • Launching and turning pizza in the oven.
  • Ideas of what to do beyond pizza with a stone pizza oven.
