This cooking class is made possible and sponsored by UVA Health System and UVA Heart and Vascular Center.

This class is designed for those who want to learn about effective strategies to maintain vascular health through a heart healthy diet .  Chef Cecelia Baum Raborn will be teaching the class and will be joined by UVA Heart and Vascular Center clinical dietitian, Katherine Basbaum MS, RD.  Guests will receive a sample of each of the courses listed below as well as the recipes to take home.
Hot Charred Cherry Tomatoes with Cold Yogurt
Surprisingly delicious contrast of favors
Roasted Butternut Squash with French Lentils
A warming and aromatic lentil dish
Sesame Cookies
Flavored with sesame tahini which adds a creamy, earthy flavor
Digestive Tea
A blend of ginger, fennel, cinnamon & licorice
